NOTHING CHANGES IF NOTHING CHANGES

I'm Erin Averbukh, a truly independent candidate running for City Councillor - Ward 14. I am running to bring the transformative change that Calgarians deserve and City Council needs.

My vision is an efficient, safe and well-served Calgary that is led by a collaborative, forward-thinking Council who will take Calgary from greatness to excellence - together.

I view The City of Calgary for exactly what it is - a “Corporation” and City Councillors are “Representatives of the People” who focus on practical policies that make both fiscal and societal sense.

I'm not affiliated with a party, nor have I worked for or walked with a politician - I don't even know one.  I’m a Calgarian, just like you, who wants a safe, affordable and livable city where our taxpayer dollars are managed responsibly.

My business background and proven relationship management skills make me more than qualified to represent Ward 14 and all Calgarians at Council - and that promises to be a refreshing and much needed shift at City Hall.

I am aware that the role of City Councillor does hold a political element, but it is crucial to remember that municipal government is meant to operate on a non-partisan basis.

Internal politics within City Council, involving peers, colleagues, stakeholders and other levels of government must be managed by a skilled and experienced relationship builder with an ability to negotiate, collaborate and find common ground.

Even if I am the only City Councillor without a political agenda, I believe that would make me the Leader.

TOEING THE COMMUNITY LINE, NOT THE PARTY LINE.

With a strong focus on value, I will prioritize smart city management, public safety and practical and effective governance. â€‹â€‹I will champion true and meaningful community engagement grounded in transparency and accountability.

I bring diplomacy, self-discipline and a practical business lens.

I say what I mean and I mean what I say, and I have what it takes to represent Ward 14 and ALL Calgarians at City Hall.

Municipal elections always matter — but this one matters more than ever. With eight vulnerable vacancies on Council, Ward 14 has the opportunity to lead the way and restore the power to the people.

A vote for me is a vote for strong leadership, real accountability and a Councillor that will represent your family, our community and our city.

  • Less Politics.

  • More Community.

  • Better Management.

The BEST way to support me and my campaign to be Ward 14's next City Councillor, is to order a lawn sign. (Donations are nice too)
